Digga North America & Alliant Energy Partner On Energy Efficiency Projects

New gearbox and drilling auger manufacturing facility includes energy efficient equipment; Receives $24,876 rebate.

Digga North America’s new Dyersville facility is using energy efficiency to gain a competitive advantage in the advanced manufacturing industry. The company recently completed several energy efficiency projects, including installation of energy efficient compressed air systems, air conditioners and lighting in the new manufacturing facility located in the Dyersville Industrial Park. The company expects the new energy efficiency equipment to reduce energy usage and increase cost savings.

The projects were completed under Alliant Energy’s Custom Rebate energy program. Digga North America expects to achieve annual energy savings of more than 150,000 kilowatt-hours per year.

The energy savings will result in avoiding more than 106 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year. This is equivalent to removing approximately 22 passenger vehicles from Iowa roadways or the amount of carbon dioxide sequestered by nearly 80 acres of forest in the United States.

In addition to the anticipated energy savings, the company received a $24,876 rebate for the projects.
